When you mention Sedum Star Grass, you’re probably referring to Sedum lineare, also called Carpet Sedum or Star Sedum — a fast-spreading, low-growing succulent with small, narrow, bright green leaves that resemble tiny grass blades or stars.
Here’s what you should know if you’re looking for Sedum Star Grass in a 3-inch pot:
🌿 About Sedum lineare (Star Grass Sedum):
-
Appearance:
-
Tiny, star-shaped or needle-like bright green leaves, forming a dense mat.
-
Spreads quickly and can trail over pot edges.
-
Sometimes produces small yellow star-shaped flowers.
-
-
Growth: Grows low and wide — it may eventually outgrow a 3-inch pot but will look cute and compact at first.
🪴 3-inch pot setup:
-
Pot: Small terra cotta or ceramic pots with drainage are perfect. Since Sedum spreads horizontally, shallow pots work too.
-
Soil: Use a well-draining cactus/succulent mix; you can add extra perlite or pumice if needed.
-
Arrangement: Looks great alone or mixed with other small succulents in a tiny arrangement.
