Hybrid succulent Sedeveria ‘Letizia’, bred from a cross of Sedum cuspidatum x Echeveria setosa is a succulent that offers small, shiny, apple-green rosettes along branched stems. As stems lengthen the lower part of the stem becomes bare, and the rosettes grow at the top of them, providing the plant with an almost architectural contrast to low growing, flat, clustering types.

One thing I especially like about Letizia is how the colour of this succulent changes with the season. While most of the rosette stays that bright apple green for much of the year, when stressed with bright light, lower temps or a bit of dryness the leaf edges can become a rich, vibrant red. Important Notes

• There is variation from plant to plant with the leaves as each is an organism with their individual leaf color, size and shape.
• The leaves of the rosette are prone to bruising, and will break away from the head if not handled gently when removed from the box.
• A few of the leaves might look a bit worried on arrival, this should resolve after a week in care with sufficient light.
• Ideally, place the plant in a bright spot as soon as you have received it because it will otherwise tend to stretch, if there is not enough light available
• Winter watering needs drop off even more, check soil for water as necessary.
• This red colouring to the edges will revert to green again if you move back to a lesser lit area of the plant and warm conditions away from a drought-This is normal.

A: Sedeveria Letizia does this as it matures and will lose the lowest leaves on its stems, and end up with the rosette at the very top of a very skinny stem. You can prune off the rosette on top, and root the cutting to make a fuller, shorter plant.
