Pink Syngonium (also known as Syngonium podophyllum 'Pink' or Arrowhead Vine Pink), is a stunning, colorful variety of the popular Syngonium plant. Known for its vibrant pinkish hues mixed with shades of green, this plant adds a striking pop of color to your indoor plant collection.

Here’s what you should know if you’re looking for Pink Syngonium in a pot:

🌿 About Pink Syngonium (Syngonium podophyllum 'Pink'):

  • Appearance:

    • The leaves of Pink Syngonium have a unique pink to light red center with green veins, giving it a marbled or variegated effect.

    • As it matures, the leaves become more arrowhead-shaped, and the plant can develop a trailing or vining growth habit.

    • It's a compact plant that typically grows to about 12–24 inches (30–60 cm) tall, but it can trail longer when given support.

  • Growth Habit: Grows as a vine, so it looks great in hanging baskets or trailing over the edges of pots.

🪴 Pot Setup:

  • Pot size: A 6–8 inch pot works well for a single Pink Syngonium plant, but you can go bigger if you want it to grow more freely. For young plants, a 4-inch pot can work, and as it grows, consider transitioning to a larger pot.

  • Pot type: A plastic or ceramic pot with drainage holes is ideal, as Pink Syngonium needs well-draining soil to thrive.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture, as Syngonium prefers a slightly moist environment, but not soggy soil.

☀️ Care Tips:
Light: Pink Syngonium thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate low light but will not show its full pink coloration without sufficient light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering: Keep the soil slightly moist, watering when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Reduce watering in the winter months. Be cautious not to overwater, as this can lead to root rot.
Humidity: Syngonium plants love humidity. Consider placing it in a humid room (like a bathroom) or using a humidity tray, misting the leaves occasionally, or using a humidifier.
Temperature: Ideal temperature range is 60–75°F (15–24°C). Protect from cold drafts or temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Fertilizing: Feed with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season (spring through summer). Reduce fertilizing in the fall and winter months when the plant is not actively growing.
